'22 Holiday Collection
This collection of holiday cards was designed for a Shutterfly 2022 Holiday campaign. The objective was to build an assortment supporting a Jewel-Toned theme. The designs needed to include some traditional elements of Christmas, and translate these into a look incorporating deeply-hued palette.
My approach started with images of velvet and threaded embroidery. I sketched spooling lines, considering how they could unfurl like thread or how type could physically wrap to hug the photo. I also incorporated vintage botanicals and patterns suggestive of wood rings, but masked them into modern shapes to trap them into a graphic terrarium.
